Meet The Team
Coates Global is led by a British lawyer, Mr William Garth Coates. He has over 25 years’ experience of immigration law and has previously worked for the UK Immigration Department.

He acts for a wide range of clients, ranging from high-net-worth individuals and celebrity clients through to business start-ups and international corporate clients. His team consists of lawyers, paralegals, caseworkers and financial experts from all over the world. They are all well versed in European Union legislation, litigation, immigration and human rights and are wholly dedicated to providing quality immigration solicitor and commercial lawyer services to the golden visa clients which improve the lives of our individual and corporate clients for the better.

Coates Global has its own offices in London, Lisbon, Malta and Dubai along with partner offices in Istanbul and Ankara.
Garth William Coates
Garth is a solicitor and runs his own immigration law firm in central London. He has over 25 years’ experience of immigration law and has previously worked for the UK Immigration Department.
Michele Martin
Michele has been working as a British Solicitor in the UK since 1994. She has extensive experience of all aspects of second citizenship and golden visa programmes.
Tamer Ulay
Tamer is an European Immigration Law Specialist and has extensive knowledge of European Golden Visa and Second Citizenship Programmes. He is mainly responsible for Golden Visa and citizenship programmes for Cyprus, Malta and Portugal. He regularly travels to these countries to oversee and guide our clients’ applications first hand.
Celemet Yener
Celemet has developed good working relationships with Identity Malta (the official citizenship department in Malta) and SEF (the immigration department in Portugal). He has extensive knowledge of all types of Golden Visa applications.
Christine Phillips
Christine is responsible for citizenship applications. She has extensive knowledge of naturalisation and second citizenship programmes.
Craig Wheeler
Craig has over ten years’ experience trading on the UK and US stock markets using a number of derivative and financial products. He manages investment accounts for some of the wealthiest families across the Middle East and emerging markets.
Iyiola Ojo
Iyiola is our Marketing Director for Africa. He has extensive experience and knowledge of citizenship programmes and has responsibility for all our clients in the African market
Hayley Shepherd
Hayley is currently studying for a Master's degree in Law in London. She regularly travels to Malta, Cyprus, Portugal and Spain to assist our clients and oversee their applications with the relevant authorities.
Fabienne Malkinson
Fabienne is our Marketing Executive, maintaining and nurturing relations between our partners and clients, both at home and abroad. She is responsible and oversees all of our social-media as well as our Golden Visa and Second Citizenship Programmes. Fabienne works with both UK and international clients - frequently travelling abroad, introducing and planning our events.
Dr Rui Teixeira Rodrigues
Rui is a qualified Portuguese lawyer and is our regional manager in Lisbon. He is responsible for our clients’ Golden Visa applications in Portugal. He has developed good working relationships with Portuguese immigration authorities and has extensive knowledge of all types of Golden Visa applications.
Dr Frederick Ellul
Frederick is a Maltese lawyer and the manager of our Malta office. He has extensive knowledge of Maltese Citizenship by Investment and Maltese Residency Programmes.
Leila Mansouri
Leila is our Attorney and Business Development Consultant as well as a U.S. licensed immigration attorney with almost a decade of experience. She has extensive experience dealing with Iranian nationals as well as being invited to speak on many media platforms and conferences.
